For Turner Sports, which operates PGATour.com for the PGA, Schematic designed an entertaining and detailed live scoring application—ShotTracker—that immerses online spectators in the shot-by-shot drama of professional golf.Users can view the course map and plot the position of individual players on it using real-time shot animation. They can also access hole information, main event timeline, player and group stats, scorecards and player data sheets. Personalization features include the Custom Close Up, which allows users to track their favorite golfers and follow them shot-for-shot throughout an entire tournament, using the application’s real time updates. With these features, the PGATour.com site creates and satisfies an avid online community of golf fans.
