The High Definition DVD platform redefines what is possible in interactive home entertainment. Using the format’s iHD authoring environment, Schematic concepted the industry-rocking “U-control” navigation system for Universal’s “Miami Vice” HD-DVD release, allowing users to experience on-the-fly “extras” while watching the original content. Picture-in-picture capability, audio mixing, and text/graphic overlays are only a few of the amazing interactive features available from navigation that changes according to available content. At its launch, the “Miami Vice” HD DVD was the most deeply interactive and original HD DVD ever released.
